Rules of Black Jack

Blackjack is one of the most popular card games that you can enjoy at mobile casinos. The game is also known as 21 and is easy to learn and understand too. The game also has a lower house edge, which is why it is preferred by many casino enthusiasts. Whether you play the game for real money or just for play money, it is important that you know the rules through and through.

How to play blackjack

When you play blackjack, your aim is to create a hand greater than the dealer’s hand, without exceeding a total of 21. Both the dealer and player will be dealt two cards each. While both the cards of the player are face up, the dealer gets one face down card and one face up card. Once the cards are dealt, the player has the following options.

Stand – When you choose to stand, you do not take any more cards from the dealer. Usually, you would stand when your total is between 18 and 21.

Hit – Hit refers to taking another card from the dealer. When your hand total is 17 or less, you have to take another card. Depending on the cards you have in hand, you can hit as many times as you want till you get a total of 21 or more. If your hand total is 21, and if the dealer’s card total is less than yours or more than 21, you win. But if your score is more than 21, then the dealer automatically wins.

Double down – When you choose this option, you would be doubling your bet and will get just one more card.

Split pairs – This option is available when both the cards dealt to you are of the same value. For instance, if you are dealt a pair of Kings, you can split them into two hands. Your bet on the second hand should be the same as that of your first hand. After you split, you will have two hands with a value of 10 each. Each hand is then played as it would normally be in blackjack.

Insurance – This is an option that is offered only by a few fun mobile casinos. This is a side bet and is usually offered when the dealer’s up card is an ace. However, this bet has to be placed before the dealer checks his hole card. This bet usually pays 2:1.

Along with these basic rules, knowledge of blackjack strategies can go a long way in helping you win at fun mobile casinos or real money casinos.
